Our commitment to confidentiality

At Just Being Me, your privacy matters.

You may share personal information when you contact me, attend a session, take part in a programme or work with me through 121 coaching. I understand that some of this information may be sensitive.

I will treat what you share with care and respect. I will not share your personal story, conversations or coaching information with other people unless you have given me permission or one of the exceptions in this policy applies.

What confidentiality covers

Confidential information may include:

  • Information shared during 121 coaching sessions
  • Messages sent through email, WhatsApp, contact forms or social media
  • Information shared during connection calls
  • Answers given on questionnaires or booking forms
  • Personal experiences, relationships, beliefs, feelings or concerns
  • Information about your health, neurodivergence, family, work or business
  • Notes made during or after a session
  • Your contact details and payment information

Personal information is also handled in line with the Just Being Me Privacy Policy and UK data protection law.

121 coaching and private sessions

What you share during a private session will be treated as confidential.

I may keep brief notes to support our work together. These notes will be stored securely and will only be accessed by me unless access is required for administration, legal reasons or one of the exceptions below applies.

I will not record a session without telling you and receiving your permission first.

Group sessions, courses and communities

When you take part in a group session, workshop, course, WhatsApp community or membership, I will ask everyone to respect the privacy of other participants.

You must not share another person’s story, personal information, screenshots, messages or comments outside the group without their clear permission.

Although I set this expectation, I cannot guarantee the actions of every participant. Please only share what you feel comfortable sharing in a group setting.

Virtual assistants and service providers

I work with trusted virtual assistants, contractors and online service providers who may need limited access to information so they can complete administration, marketing, payment, course or technical tasks.

They will only be given access to the information they need for their role. They are expected to keep that information confidential and use it only for the agreed purpose.

Further details about the systems and service providers used by Just Being Me can be found in the Privacy Policy.

When confidentiality may need to be broken

There are some situations where I may need to share information without your permission.

  • I believe there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or another person
  • A child or adult at risk may be experiencing abuse, neglect or serious harm
  • I am legally required to provide information
  • A court or authorised organisation requires the information
  • Information is needed to prevent or investigate serious crime
  • I need confidential legal, professional or insurance advice

Where it is safe and appropriate, I will try to discuss this with you before sharing information.

I will only share information that is relevant and necessary for the situation.

Testimonials and client stories

I will not publish your name, photograph, testimonial or personal story without your permission.

Where a client experience is discussed anonymously, I will remove or change identifying details. I will not use information if I believe someone could reasonably recognise you from it unless you have clearly agreed.

You can withdraw permission for future use of a testimonial by contacting me. This may not remove material that has already been printed or published where removal is not reasonably possible.

Contact before becoming a client

Messages and information shared during an enquiry or free connection call will also be treated as confidential.

Choosing not to work with me does not remove your right to privacy.

Protecting your information

Reasonable steps are taken to protect confidential information. These may include secure passwords, restricted account access, two-step verification and approved storage systems.

No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should avoid sending highly sensitive information through social media messages or other services you do not consider secure.

Personal information will be kept securely and retained only for as long as it is needed.

Your responsibilities

Please protect your own privacy by:

  • Using a private space, where possible, during online sessions
  • Keeping your login details and course access private
  • Not recording sessions without permission
  • Respecting the confidentiality of people you meet in groups or communities
  • Letting me know if you believe information has been shared incorrectly
